From Zadar, Split and Dubrovnik to Poland in two hours
Polish Eurolot will take Croatians to the European Championship
The Polish airline Eurolot is going to open new direct air connections between Croatia and Poland in June. This is good news for fans planning to come to the European Football Championship: the carrier entices them, in fact, with attractive rates and no extra fees for luggage. The first plane from Zadar and Dubrovnik to Warsaw and Krakow will take off on Saturday, June 9. Starting from Thursday, June 7, one can also fly from Split to Warsaw.
The seasonal flights from Zadar to Warsaw and from Dubrovnik to Krakow take place on Saturdays. Starting from 23 June, passengers will also be able to fly from Zadar to Gdansk. Departures are planned once a week, on Saturdays. Eurolot will also take passengers from Split to Warsaw, on Thursdays. The new connections greatly reduce the time it takes to travel to Poland. Flights on selected routes last about two hours. Tickets can be booked via the carrier’s website at www.eurolot.com
The flight connections to Croatia are also supposed to cater to the needs of Polish tourists who visit Dalmatia in great numbers during the summer. “The flights between Croatia and Poland were planned in such a way as to enable fans to get to the Euro 2012 quickly and comfortably. We hope that the direct connections with the Dalmatian Coast will also please Polish tourists,” says Mariusz Dąbrowski, CEO of Eurolot SA. The airline’s schedule in June also includes special connections between the Euro 2012 host cities, intended specifically for fans and matching the tournament schedule.
Tickets will be offered at tempting prices: the cheapest flights to Poland start at 48 EUR, children under 2 fly free of charge and there is a 50 per cent discount for under 18 year olds. The airline does not charge additional fees for luggage either. Every passenger may carry one item weighing up to 20 kg and 6 kg of hand luggage. “Passengers needn’t be afraid of hidden charges. What is more, as opposed to low-cost carriers, we combine low rates with travelling comfort,” Mr Dąbrowski points out.
In May, three of the eight new Bombardier Q400NextGen planes ordered by the carrier joined Eurolot’s fleet. This is the most recent passenger aircraft offered by the Canadian manufacturer, offering a quiet cabin with noise suppression, comfortable seats, larger overhead bins for hand luggage and friendly lighting. “The Bombardier planes we purchased offer us an entirely new experience in terms of flying comfort. They are fast, quiet and comfortable. This investment allows us to boast one of the most modern fleets in Europe,” ensures Mr Dąbrowski.
